Abstract
Quality of Experience (QoE) is a widely used metric reflecting the users' satisfaction of the multimedia service. This paper studies the QoE-driven resource allocation technique in the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) system. Different from other schemes, multiuser-multiservice scenario is taken into consideration for both power allocation and subcarrier scheduling, which is much closer to the practice communication system. A gradual resource allocation algorithm (GRAA) with lower computational complexity is proposed, which aims at addressing the system energy efficiency while guaranteeing user-perceived QoE for different multimedia services. Simulation results show that the almost same performance can be approached by our proposed scheme with much lower complexity compared with the exhaustive search algorithm.
