A Probabilistic Shaped Adaptive Hierarchical QAM Scheme for Elastic Optical Network

Abstract

A probabilistic shaped adaptive hierarchical 12QAM (PS-AH-12QAM) scheme is proposed. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme obtains better BER performance than traditional adaptive hierarchical 16QAM (AH-16QAM).
