N2 - In this paper, we propose a novel mapping scheme in non-binary LDPC coded modulation system. Contrary to the mapping method in [1], we assign the variable node of less degree to the more significant bits(MSBs) of signal constellation, for the purpose of the balanced protection. Simulation results show that compare to the traditional mapping scheme, the proposed method gives 0.1dB-0.5dB performance gain at BER=10'5 without additional complexity.
