Abstract

Accurate DC-DC converter efficiency model is very important in the energy management optimal control of electric vehicles. In order to establish a reliable efficiency model and improve its accuracy, a novel circuit average modeling method of non-ideal Buck converter is presented. The mathematical model of non-ideal Buck converter is established. To verify the accuracy of the mathematical model, the simulation is realized by MATLAB/Simulink. A comparison between theoretical value and simulation value is analyzed. The results show that: first, the Buck converter efficiency model is reasonable. Second, the largest absolute error value is 2.3%.
