Abstract

Nanocrystalline aluminum (Al) was successfully synthesized via spark plasma sintering technique using the organic-coated nano-Al powders. The bulk compact exhibits a high relative density of 99.5% along with the average grain size of 70. nm and micro-hardness of 2.88. GPa as well as an excellent compressive strength of 620. MPa.
