Abstract

The suppression of wideband interference is critical to communication systems, especially in the complex electromagnetic environment, where the power of interference may be 30dB greater than that of the communication signal. In this context, the idea of interference suppression in passive radar is introduced by adding an auxiliary antenna and using a novel adaptive filter based on the fractional delay LMS (FDLMS) algorithm and the modified Multirate Fast LMS (MFLMS) algorithm, among which the FDLMS algorithm is used to reduce the effect of the fractional delay, and the modified MFLMS algorithm is adopted to reduce the computational amount and improve the convergence performance of the filter. Real data experiments demonstrate that the proposed adaptive filter is effective and efficient.
