Abstract

In the binuclear title molecule, [Zn2(C9H7NO4)Cl2(C12H8N2)2], the two metal centres are bridged by a 2,6-dimethyl-pyridine-3,5-dicarboxyl-ate ligand. The binuclear unit is extended to form a two-dimensional supra-molecular motif via π-π stacking inter-actions between neighbouring phenanthroline rings.
