Abstract

Multi-output DC/DC converter is very popular in the low scale power suppliers. Usually only the master output is regulated with feedback control, while the other outputs are designed with open loop control. Thus the universal control of all outputs for multi-output DC/DC converter is a key issue. In this paper, a new tightly and independently regulated dual-output LLC resonant DC/DC converter is presented. The two outputs of the proposed DC/DC converter can be accurately regulated and only one full-bridge inverter circuit is used. And no extra power switches are used in the proposed topology. One of the outputs is adjusted by regulating the switching frequency while another output depends on the effective duty cycle. Since all the power switches operate with zero-voltage switching (ZVS), this DC/DC converter has some beneficial merits such as high efficiency and low switching loss. A laboratory prototype is built and the experiment results confirmed the validity of the presented converter.
