N2 - The range resolution of linear frequency modulated continuous wave (LFMCW) radar is limited by the frequency deviation when using traditional signal processing method. In order to solve it, a novel method called "Duplication and Continuous Phase Splicing (DCPS)"method is proposed. Compared with the traditional method, The DCPS method duplicates the beat signal within one modulation period many times and the signals are spliced together without phase jump. The performance of the method is evaluated by simulations. The results show that the range resolution of DCPS method is not limited by the frequency deviation and the ranging error of DCPS method is still less than that of the traditional method at low signal-To-noise ratio (SNR).
