Abstract

Digital baseband predistorter technology can effectively reduce the system nonlinear distortion. The memory polynomial algorithm and the look-up table (LUT) algorithm are two commonly used predistorter algorithms. In this paper, we analyze these two algorithms, and propose a new joint memory polynomial and LUT predistorter algorithm which picks up the advantages of the two algorithms. At last the new algorithm was optimized by linear interpolation method for further quantifiable performance improvement. Simulation results show that, in the Wiener amplifier model, the application of this new algorithm can speed up the algorithm convergence, save coefficients storage RAM and reduce computational complexity.
