Abstract

This paper presents a coaxial collinear antenna (COCO antenna) for the application of mobile communication positioning. This omni-directional micostrip antenna consists of six λg/2 microstrip patches, which is placed alternately in two sides of the substrate. A high gain(>7dB) is achieved by the use of the linear arrayed patches. Also, a low sidelobe(<-14dB) is achieved by the use of a new trapezoidal patches and linear array. The unroundness of this antenna is no more than 0.8dB. The return loss of antenna is less than -10dB between 1.60GHz-1.61GHz.
