Abstract

A highly squint stepped frequency SAR imaging algorithm is introduced in this paper. The first step of this algorithm is sub-band 2-D imaging, and then range broadband is synthesized. Azimuth shift is necessary after sub-band 2-D imaging. In the case of highly squint SAR, the accuracy of the compression filter is very important in the broadband synthesis. Finally, the simulation results prove the validity of this algorithm.
