Abstract

Electric vehicles (EVs) become one of the most effective ways to alleviate atmospheric pollution and energy shortage with the development trend of automobile industry. A more perfect charging system can reduce the influence of the short driving range and long charging time. At present, there are three electric vehicle (EV) charging modes, such as charging station, charging point and in-home charging. So, a distribution of charging facilities is a great important problem. In the paper, the distribution model of charging facilities is introduced in terms of these real backgrounds. This model captures the influence of several important factors such as driving range, battery residual capacity, and minimum of state of charge, charging rate and maximum permissible waiting time which depends on users' choice behavior. The detail analysis of the model is given to illustrate how the factors influence the percent of charging facilities. For a certain city, the model can give the percents of three charging modes by its statistics parameters. Based on the total power consumptions of the city, it can effectively guide the construction of the charging facilities.
