Abstract

In order to equalize the amplitude phase shift keying (APSK) signal before carrier phase recovery and reduce the impact of inter-symbol interference (ISI) on carrier recovery, a CMA blind equalization algorithm based on the constellation's outer ring is proposed. The algorithm exploits the high calculation error and rapid convergence speed of the outer ring constellation points, and the steady-state performance after convergence is close to that of multimode parallel CMA algorithm. The simulation results verify the effectiveness of the method.
