Abstract

Recently, there has been significant interest in passive devices fabricated using LTCC technology, for which makes the 3D structure of the transmission lines realizable. In this paper, a compact broadband 8-output Wilkinson power divider at 0.5∼1.5GHz in LTCC technology is presented. The power divider is designed in two-section to achieve the broadband, and some λ/4impedance transformations are used to broaden the line width, for reaching the technical requirements in LTCC. The simulation results show a phase error of less than +/- 3° and a power imbalance at output port of less than 0.4dB from 0.5∼1.5GHz. The insertion loss is better than 2.8dB and isolation is better than 15dB. The whole size of the multilayer integrated device is 25mm×25mm×2.1mm.
