3D modeling of a plasma display panel cell

Abstract

Results from a 3D model of a plasma display panel celt are presented. The model is based on solutions of the electron and ion transport equations coupled with Poisson's equation. A user-friendly interface allows the study of different cell designs. We present comparisons between the model predictions and measurements in a macro-cell. We then briefly discuss the calculated efficiency for different electrode designs.
