Abstract
The one-dimensional hydrodynamic model of a voice coil motor(VCM) fuel injection system was established by using the software AMESim, and the injected fuel mass at different injection durations was measured on an engine test-bench and compared with the simulation results to verify the built model. The effects of the structural parameters of piston and needle valve on fuel injection pressure, dynamic response of the needle valve and cycle fuel injection quantity were analyzed through the numerical simulation. The simulation results show that the structural parameters of VCM injector play an important role in the control of the fuel injection pressure and cycle injection quantity. Overweight piston, overlarge spring stiffness or underweight needle valve will make the injector system instable.
