Abstract

The preparation of organic solid-liquid phase change fibers via electrospinning are reviewed,including the phase change fibers based on long chain alkanes,fatty acids,polyethylene glycol and paraffin,as well as their applications in biomedicine,food engineering,temperature control fabrics,and photothermal storage. Some performance data of phase change fibers are provided. The development status of phase change fibers and strategies for thermal conductivity of phase change fibers improvement are also analyzed. It is suggested that the functionalization and intelligence of organic solid-liquid phase change fibers are the development direction to expand their potential application.
