Abstract
This paper mainly summarizes different methods to implement all-solid-state single-frequency laser which can broadly tune tens to hundreds nanometers, and the principle and implementation of frequency selection are detailedly described in methods of both prism dispersion cavity and blazed grating dispersion cavity, and such methods as volume bragg grating diffraction cavity, birefringent filters interference cavity, acousto-optic tunable filter diffraction cavity and electro-optic tunable filter interference cavity. Finally, the advantages, disadvantage, complexity and feasibility for the various methods are analyzed. It is thought that ultra-wideband tunable all-solid-state single-frequency lasers can be realized by above methods in combination with the design of resonator and frequency precision-selection device as FP etalon.
