Abstract
Polyacrylonitrile(PAN) nanofiber membranes were prepared via electrostatic spinning technique, which were chemically modified in hydroxylamine hydrochloride solution to obtain amidoxime PAN(A-PAN) nanofiber membranes. The results show that higher reaction temperature accelerates the conversion of -CN to amidoxime group and breaks the crystalline structure of A-PAN, the flexibility of the fibrous membrane is therefore reduced. A-PAN fiber membranes adsorb Fe(Ⅲ), Cu(Ⅱ), and Pb(Ⅱ) mixed ions selectively, which can be described by pseudo second order kinetics equation as chemisorption and controlled by both the diffusion and the coordination reaction of the metal ions. The adsorption of Fe(Ⅲ) is the highest, with an equilibrium adsorption capacity of 117.42 mg/g. The A-PAN fibrous membranes have potential values in the treatment of heavy metal pollution, the enrichment and recovery of precious metals.
