Abstract
High emission and ablation resistant coatings were prepared on rigid ceramic insulating tile by slurry sintering method with borosilicate glass as binder, MoSi2 as transmitter and SiB6 as sintering aid. Three kinds of glass components were designed. By means of XRD, SEM, emissivity tester, oxyacetylene flame ablation and characterization methods, the crystallization resistance of glasses with different composition and the effects of glass composition on the phase, morphology, emissivity, oxidation resistance, thermal shock resistance and ablation resistance of the coatings were studied. The results show that with the increase of boron oxide content in glass from 10wt% to 20wt%, the crystallization resistance of glass is improved and the prepared coating is smoother. When the boron oxide content in glass is 15wt%, the thermal shock resistance, oxidation resistance and ablation resistance of the coatings are the best. Emissivity of coatings in 3-5 jxm wave band is over 0. 9.
