Abstract

Adopting a digital laser dynamic caustic test system, the interaction between dynamic crack and static one under explosion loading was studied. The results showed that under explosion loading, dynamic crack and static one link up each other, the average propagation length of wing crack decreases with increase in the distance L between the tip of dynamic crack and static one; the wing crack can't start crack when L reaches a certain value; dynamic crack propagation velocity and the stress intensity factor decrease when dynamic crack is close to static one; due to the effects of dynamic crack tip stress field, obvious caustic speckle appears at two ends of static crack; with increase in L, wing crack extension speed and the dynamic stress intensity factor gradually decrease; wing crack's dynamic characteristics have an obvious diversity with variation of L; with increase in L, the peak values of wing crack propagation speed and dynamic stress intensity factor decrease.
