Abstract

For the transmissions of tracked vehicles, the power coupled planetary mechanism can achieve the transfer of steering regenerative power. In this paper, the configuration characteristics of the power coupling mechanism composed of two planetary gear trains that can realize the steering regenerative power transfer are studied. In order to carry out general research, this paper presents a new graph theory model to represent planetary transmission, which makes it possible to represent the properties of the component with its characteristic parameters. For the power coupling mechanism with two kinematic degrees of freedom, the topology contains only one type. According to the selection of the input and output components, the configurations can be divided into two sub-types. Based on the analysis of the two sub-types, the characteristics of the parameters to achieve the transfer of the steering regenerative power are presented. According to the analysis results, the actual configurations are obtained. The simulation results are consistent with the theoretical analysis.
