Abstract

A multistage bubble humidifying and dehumidifying seawater desalination device is proposed. The device is mainly composed of multi-curved solar concentrator, humidifying layer and dehumidifying layer. Driven by the fan, the high temperature air heated by the condenser passes through the screen plates and screen holes at all levels, generating bubbles, increasing the contact area between air and water and strengthening the process of heat and mass transfer. Experimental research was carried out on the device under different weather conditions. The results showed that in sunny weather, the solar energy utilization rate of the device could reach up to 0.41, the desalination efficiency could reach up to 1.23, the maximum water yield rate was 3.66 kg/h, and the all-day water yield was 17.08 kg. Under unsunny weather, the unit yield is 12.43 kg.
