Abstract
A one-dimensional simulation model of diesel engine with single-stage turbocharging is established on the GT-Power simulation software platform, and the accuracy and rationality of the model are verified by comparing the experimental data with the simulation data. On this basis, the influence of the turbocharger wastegate opening (referring to the wastegate flow diameter) on the engine output power and specific fuel consumption at different engine speeds under steady state conditions is studied and summarized. Then, taking the highest output power and the lowest specific fuel consumption as the optimization objectives, realize the optimization of wastegate opening under various speeds of external characteristics. Finally, the influence of different wastegate openings on engine performance under engine acceleration dynamic conditions was investigated. It was found that the smaller the wastegate opening, the better the engine acceleration performance and the matching effect with compressor is better.
