Abstract
This paper focuses on power-split hybrid electric vehicle, aiming to improve mode shift quality by developing multi-power torque control strategies. First, a dynamic model of the transmission system was established to characterize the dynamic behavior of multiple power sources. Then, a torque coordination strategy based on model predictive control was proposed for clutch engagement, and a dynamic compensation strategy based on motor torque was designed for brake disengagement. Simulation and experimental results showed that the proposed strategies can quickly respond to mode shift while reducing output torque fluctuations, vehicle jerk and clutch sliding losses, significantly enhancing mode shift quality and driving performance.
