Abstract
It is a necessary means to strengthen heat and moisture exchange by using porous packing to increase the water vapor contact interface in spray humidification process. In this paper,a humidification model based on air closed-water open cycle was established by using stainless steel corrugated packing, the effects of spraying rate, spraying temperature, packing height and circulating air velocity on heat and moisture exchange are studied. The results show that the total mass transfer coefficient is obviously restricted by the packing height. When the packing height is over 45cm,the spray water temperature plays a dominant role in the process. In addition, when the packing height is constant, the spray rate has an optimal value which increases with the decrease of spray temperature, but the overall effect on mass transfer coefficient is weak. The analysis of packing pressure drop shows that the increase of packing height and spray rate will increase the pressure drop, when the packing height is more than 45cm,the change of comprehensive factor is stable.
