Abstract

To improve the ride comfort of multi-axis vehicle, the mathematical model was established with three-axis vehicle as example. Three suspension stiffness matching schemes and three damping coefficient matching schemes were proposed to match nine suspension dynamic parameter matching schemes. Based on different road inputs, the nine schemes were simulated and analyzed. The effects of road inputs and dynamic parameter matching schemes on indexes of vehicle ride comfort were analyzed. The different dynamic parameter matching schemes were proposed to get the best index based on road inputs and design targets. The results show that for the random road input, to get the minimum body acceleration, the same frequency bias and the same damping ratio should be adopted. To obtain the minimum acceleration of the body pitch angle, a scheme with the same stiffness, the larger damping of intermediate shaft should be adopted.
