Abstract
A leader-follower scheme-based estimation and guidance method is proposed for cooperative attack by multiple flight vehicles under communication-free conditions in three dimensions. To meet the complex combat environment and cost-efficiency reduction requirements of flight vehicle swarms, a cooperative attack system is constructed where only the leader can directly detect the target. An extended Kalman filter (EKF) based on bearing-only measurements is designed, enabling seeker-less followers to obtain relative motion information relative to the leader. A formation guidance strategy under the leader-follower scheme is developed to achieve temporal cooperative attack on highvalued targets. Based on the proposed system and method, followers equipped with only low-cost azimuth sensors can achieve simultaneous target attack without relying on a communication network. The effectiveness of the cooperative formation guidance strategy is verified through simulation results.
