He is engaged in theoretical research on the periodic problem of degenerate parabolic equations, the suitability problem of parabolic systems with hysteresisx effect, and the dynamic behavior of convertive cross-diffusion parabolic systems. Presided over and participated in 8 projects of National Natural Science Foundation. In 2005, he was selected into the New century Talent Support program of the Ministry of Education.
