Address: Beijing Institute of Technology Center Teaching Building, Haidian District, Beijing Personal Information
Liu Jinyan, associate professor, high-level young talents of Beijing Institute of Technology. PhD in Computer Science from the University of Hong Kong (Supervisor: Dr. Zhiyi Huang, Prof. Siu Ming Yiu, Ph.D., Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (Host: Dr. Xiaohui Bei and visiting scholar at the Institute of Technology of Georgia, USA (Host: Dr. Rachel Cummings).
The research is based on privacy protection and algorithmic game theory in Theoretical Computer Science (TCS), with specific directions including differential privacy, federated learning, auction mechanisms, and resource allocation. On the basis of the theory, the application research is also carried out: including the privacy protection of artificial intelligence learning algorithms, the value measurement and transaction of information resources, the coping strategy of Internet big data killing, and the fair distribution of social resources. He has published many academic papers in NeurIPS, AAAI, AI, PODS and other top international conferences/journals in computer science, hosted a National Natural Science Foundation youth project, and served as a reviewer for computer conferences/journals such as NeurIPS, ICML, TKDE, ICLR, ESA, ITCS and so on. Won the only Best Student paper Award of AAAI 2020.
We plan to recruit 2 postgraduate students every year, and welcome excellent undergraduates to participate in laboratory research. Excellent students can be recommended to study in well-known overseas universities.
