Established in 1940 as China’s first specialized institution dedicated to teaching and research in the natural sciences, Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) has evolved into a world-class university renowned for its global vision and commitment to open education. Today, BIT encompasses 22 academic schools, offering 73 undergraduate programs, 54 master’s programs, and 42 doctoral programs. The university boasts a vibrant academic community of 33,000 students, including 15,000 undergraduates, 11,000 master’s students, and over 6,000 doctoral candidates. Notably, BIT’s Green Energy and Sustainable Science and Technology program is ranked first worldwide, while its School of Management is positioned in the top 1% of global business schools with prestigious triple accreditation.
