T1 - Synthesis and characterization of ionic liquid of 3-nitro-1,2,4-triazole-5- one-alkyl imidazolium

N2 - Ionic liquids were synthesized by N, N-dialkyl imidazole(.Cx-imi, x= 3, 4, 5, 6) for the cation, and 3nitro-1,2,4-triazole-5-one (NTO) for the anionic. Their structures were identified by IR, 1H NMR, elemental analysis, and their density, solubility, viscosity, thermal properties were studied. The results showed that NTOalkyl imidazolium ionic liquids dissolve in acetonitrile, DMF, DMSO and other organic solvents with larger dielectric constant. Their density were greater than 1.897g/cm3, thermal transition temperatures of solid phase to liquid phase were less than -34.4 °C, and the temperatures of 5% mass loss were about 220°C , having better thermal stability.
