Study on DSD parameters for RDX/TNT explosives

摘要

Steady-state detonation velocities and wave shapes were measured for RDX/TNT explosives in different mass ratio 60/40, 50/50 and 40/60, respectively. The results show that, with the increase of TNT content, the D n(κ) curve of RDX/TNT explosives moves downward gradually and the curvature effect tends to be obvious. The DSD parameters of RDX/TNT explosives were calibrated experimentally, and the detonation wave propagation was simulated by using DSD model. The simulation results are in good agreement with the experiment results. The DSD parameters of RDX/TNT explosives calibrated in this paper can be used for DSD model simulation, and the research results are useful to study the non-ideal detonation propagation mechanism.
