abstract = "The development of a mobile and portable artificial pancreas (AP) aims to improve patients' comfort is the focus of AP research. An AP reduces the suffering of diabetes and greatly improves the patients' status by suitably controlling glucose concentration using insulin injection. In this article, we propose an AP system implemented with an APP software based on android devices, which is named BITAPS. The APP provides a user-friendly interface including dynamic chart, data display, data storage and Bluetooth connectivity. In addition, a closed-loop control algorithm is implemented on the APP, which is connected to the FDA accepted UVA/Padova T1DM simulator via Bluetooth for closed-loop blood glucose control. The APP shows consistent and satisfactory performance.",
