Abstract

An introduction of composition and operational principle of hydrodynamic mechanic automatic transmission was given. The paper placed emphasis on the methods of improving the acceleration performance of tracked vehicle, which contain the choice of proper start gear, the choice of appropriate shifting timing and lock-up timing, and the right control strategy of oil-charging and releasing parameters of clutches in shift process. Proving ground test shows that, compared with the accelerating process without using the above methods, the acceleration performance of vehicle is significantly improved.
