Abstract

To improve the adaptability of comprehensive hydraulic-mechanical gearbox to the complex road conditions, a shifting strategy according to braking conditions was established. Through analyzing the characteristics of different running processes using different braking methods on a tracklayer, an identification method was proposed to distinguish different braking process, while engine speed, hydraulic torque converter ratio, and vehicle velocity were used to reflect vehicle state in the control strategy. Field trials indicate that the control strategy conforms to the requirements of braking conditions during the running process, and could satisfies the purpose of the driver.
