High Bandwidth DC-DC Converter with Active Current Ripples Injection

Abstract

A new high bandwidth DC-DC converter with a compensator which generates and injects compensation current ripples is proposed in this paper. Compared with the conventional converter, the proposed converter has high bandwidth and low current ripples. The compensator consists of half bridge circuit which is based on SiC devices with high switching frequency. The compensation control method of the DC-DC converter based on the high frequency compensation converter is greatly simplified compared with that of power converter based on the conventional compensation topology and the output current ripples are compensated flexibly at any duty cycle. The topology, mathematical model and operation mode of the DC-DC converter and compensator is analyzed in this paper. Finally, a PSIM simulation model of the proposed converter is built to verify all above.
