Abstract
A study on the dynamic response of rectangular air-back steel plate to underwater exploding loading is given. Several underwater explosion experiments have been performed at different depths and using different explosive charges. Based on the more accurate underwater impulse loading model, rigid linear-hardening plastic yield model and square hardening-factor yielding line supposition, the two transient movement states of the shocked plates air-back to underwater shock loading were analyzed. The analytical equations set and its numerical calculation performed. The results showed that both the experiments and theoretical analyses were satisfactory and approved the theoretical hypothesis and model.
