Abstract

This paper is concerned with the problem of a controller design of networked control systems (NCSs) subject to time-varying network-induced delay and data dropout. An important property of the network-induced delay is considered and the closed-loop system is modeled as a switched system under constraint switching using 'lifting' technique. The problem of designing a feedback controller for NCSs can be seen as a problem of design a static output feedback (SOF) controller for a switched system. Based on switched Lyapunov function approach, stability of the closed-loop system is investigated. A new sufficient condition for SOF stabilization of a switched system is derived and presented in terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI). By solving this condition, a feedback controller for NCSs can be obtained. Finally, a numerical example is give to show effectiveness of the proposed method.
