Abstract

This paper addresses the basic principle of multi-aperture wide-swath synthetic aperture radar (MAWS-SAR) and presents three imaging algorithms of MAWS-SAR (namely A, B and C respectively). The algorithm A first obtains return signals or each swath from the hybrid signals, and then compresses signals in the range direction. The algorithm B first compresses signals in the range direction, and then obtains return signals for each swath from the hybrid signals. The algorithm C is similar to algorithm A, only difference between them is to use different weighted matrices for separating return signals. These imaging algorithms are compared and some conclusions are obtained.
